Project Advisory CommitteesSector Projects Consultative CommitteeIn order to ensure that the diverse needs of the community broadcasting sector are met in the conduct of sector-wide projects, the CBF requires that appropriate communication and consultation occurs with relevant sector interest groups in the planning and conduct of sector-wide projects. Where the CBF has appointed the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) as Project Manager of a sector-wide project, this consultation occurs through the Sector Projects Consultative Committee (SPCC). The sector-wide projects currently managed by the CBAA are: The SPCC advises and reviews the work of these projects, providing strategic and policy advice to the Project Manager (CBAA). The CBAA then provides recommendations to the relevant CBF Grants Advisory Committees. The SPCC consists of a representative from the Australian Indigenous Communications Association (AICA), CBAA, Christian Media Australia (CMA), National Ethnic and Multicultural Broadcasters' Council (NEMBC) and RPH Australia. The CBF and the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy (DBCDE) are each invited as observers. Other Project Advisory CommitteesThe CBF Board of Directors may also be advised by advisory committees from time-to-time to assist with the conduct of sector-wide projects. CBF Project Advisory Committees monitor the ongoing conduct of CBF projects and provide policy and specialist advice in particular areas. Sector based committee members participate on a voluntary basis and ensure that appropriate communication and consultation occurs with relevant sector interest groups in the planning and conduct of projects.
