Support for ReconciliationThe Community Broadcasting Foundation supports the Australian Declaration Towards Reconciliation. The Foundation further supports the National Strategies to Advance Reconciliation, as proposed by the Council for Aboriginal Reconciliation, and the work of Reconciliation Australia. In particular, the Foundation urges all community broadcasting organisations to publicly support and promote the ongoing reconciliation process, and to increasingly involve Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders in their work. The CBF asks that community radio stations actively observe their Codes of Practice by incorporating policies applying to all station activities that oppose and attempt to break down prejudice on the basis of race, and prohibit the stereotyping or vilification of any person or group on the basis of their race or ethnic background.
