General Grants - Station

Funds are available to assist the ongoing development of general community broadcasting throughout Australia, through grants to establish or sustain the operations and development of community radio stations.

Applications are accepted once a year in September. Funds permitting, a second round is accepted in February.

Consideration of General Grants is the responsibility of the General Grants Advisory Committee.

Eligibility

You can apply for a General Station grant if you are:

  •  a community radio station with a long-term or a temporary licence 

Grants are not available to stations broadcasting under a narrowcast licence.  A station with a temporary licence must have been on air for at least two years cumulatively prior to applying.  Additional conditions are imposed on temporary licensees with regard to ownership of assets purchased with the grant.

Grant Reporting

Please read the Grant Reporting Requirements and complete a Grant Report Form and an Auditor's Financial Certificate (if required).

Application Procedure

  1. Read the general information for all applicants and the General Grants - Station Guidelines.

  2. Complete an Application Form (G1).

  3. Mail a hard copy of forms with original signatures and any required attachments to:

    Collingwood VIC 3066

If you provide an email address on your application form, we will confirm receipt of your application by email.

Emailed and faxed applications will not be accepted.
