Funding Strategy Group

The Funding Strategy Group (FSG) is an independent and informal working group of national community broadcasting sector organisations convened to deal with sector funding issues. Since its establishment in 2000 the FSG has been the driving force behind collective sector strategic action in support of increased federal government funding for community broadcasting.

The FSG determines common sector funding priorities for the further growth and success of the community broadcasting sector. Each year the FSG develops a funding submission for consideration as part of the federal budget process and lobbies for its support. In election years the FSG also devises and implements a strategic campaign to advance the interests of the community broadcasting sector.
