The CBF team is based in Melbourne and runs the day-to-day operations of the Foundation. This includes administering the fundraising and grant funding process and liaising with a range of agencies and stakeholders, including corporates, trusts and foundations, government, community broadcasting sector organisations, stations and broadcasters.
CEO - Ian Stanistreet
Ian Stanistreet's extensive experience in community broadcasting began as a volunteer broadcaster at Melbourne's 3PBS. He was the station's first employee as Station Manager from 1982-1988. Ian has worked as a trainer at 3BBB in Ballarat and managed 2MCE-FM in Bathurst where he was instrumental in establishing the community radio sector's news service - National Radio News (NRN).
Ian has served on the CBAA's National Committee, and is a past President of the Community Broadcasting Association of Victoria and Secretary of the Northern NSW Community Media Association. Ian joined the CBF in July 2000. Email: email@example.com
Executive Officer - Jo Curtin
Jo is passionate about social justice and has put this passion into practice through her work in community broadcasting over the past 15+ years. Jo works closely with the CEO and Board on strategic planning, policy development and better practice in grant-making. Jo volunteers on grant assessment panels at both her local council and federal MP community grants programs, and has had articles published in Pro Bono and Third Sector Magazine. Prior to joining the CBF in 2007, Jo worked as Station Manager of Melbourne's youth station SYN and as Assistant Manager at ethnic station 3ZZZ. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Fundraising Executive - Anita van Rooyen
Anita has worked in the not for profit sector predominantly in fundraising, corporate partnerships and events since 2001. She was previously employed with Landcare Australia, youth homelessness charity - the Property Industry Foundation, Kildonan UnitingCare and the Victorian Innovation Centre. Prior to her not for profit work, Anita worked in both the private and government sectors. Anita joined the CBF part-time in 2015. She can be contacted between 9.30am and 1.30pm at the CBF Office. Fundraising Executive - Patrick Fitzgerald
Patrick has been working variously in fundraising since 2009 managing programs of direct marketing as well as developing major donor relationships. Previously he has worked with Melbourne Business School, engaging their alumni and with Public Outreach consultancy, where he represented eight different charities on the street and over the phone. Grants Administrator - Barbara Baxter
Support for radio stations in the Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales.
Barbara worked in various administrative positions at financial services organisations and educational institutions prior to joining the CBF. She began her involvement with community radio in 1985 as Secretary then Treasurer of 3MDR. Barbara joined the CBF in November 1991. Email: email@example.com
Grants Administrator - Georgina Boucher
Georgie is currently on maternity leave.
Georgie has worked previously as a Grant Assistant for the Melbourne Research Office at the University of Melbourne and as a Retail Administrator for Wilkins and Kent Furniture and Design in Fitzroy. Grants Administrator - Jon King
Support for radio stations in Victoria, Tasmania, TV stations and any independent producers or not-for-profit organisations looking to partner with a community broadcasting station.
Jon has worked in various areas in the Victorian Government including the youth, multicultural affairs and volunteering before joining the CBF in April 2010. He has previously volunteered at Melbourne's SYN as a broadcaster and music director. Email: email@example.com.
Grants Administrator - Claire Stuchbery
Support for radio stations and Remote Indigenous Media Organisations in Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
Claire has been involved in community radio since 1992 at 3APL, 3SSR and PBS FM as a presenter, sponsorship manager and board member at various times. She has a degree in Media and Communications from Swinburne University and a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment that supported her work as a radio teacher at Box Hill Institute. Claire was the Managing Director at 4PeopleMedia for six years, developing sponsorship campaigns on behalf of community radio stations across the country. Claire joined the CBF in April 2013. Administrative Officer - Nermina Mulabegovic
Nermina Mulabegovic has wide-ranging experience in reception and administration across the corporate and cultural sectors. Nermina's community radio experience began at 3ZZZ in Melbourne, where she was a volunteer and was then employed as an administrative assistant. Nermina joined the CBF in November 2005. Fundraising Assistant - Bek Pasqualini
A passionate supporter of community broadcasting and the work of the Foundation, Bek Pasqualini has returned to the CBF team after several years working to raise three beautiful children. Bek first joined the CBF in 2003 as the Foundation's Administrative Officer, and later became a Grants Administrator. In 2016, Bek stepped into the new part-time role of Fundraising Assistant. Prior to the CBF, Bek gained experience in cultural administration and event management at the Australian Film Institute and the NEMBC (where she first caught the bug for community media!).
