CEO Ian Stanistreet awarded for lifetime contribution

Congratulations to Ian Stanistreet, CEO of the Community Broadcasting Foundation who was awarded the prestigious Michael Law Award for his outstanding contribution at the 2017 Community Broadcasting Awards.

Ian has been instrumental in the success of community broadcasting in Australia. Ian has dedicated his career to community broadcasting, a passion initially sparked when he joined Melbourne’s 3PBS as a volunteer broadcaster, and then the station’s first manager, a role he undertook for six years. Ian worked as a trainer at 3BBB and managed 2MCE-FM in Bathurst where he helped to develop National Radio News, an invaluable resource for the community broadcasting sector. His accomplishments include serving on the CBAA's National Committee, as a past President of the Community Broadcasting Association of Victoria and Secretary of the Northern NSW Community Media Association.

Ian has been a trusted leader of the CBF for more than 17 years.
