Digital Delivery Network (DDN) Grants


CBOnline Grants - Digital Delivery Network (DDN) Equipment
The Digital Delivery Network (DDN) uses a data stream linked to the Community Radio Network satellite channel to deliver data directly to station-based computer equipment via the station's satellite receiver. Funds are available to provide equipment (DDN Player package) for community radio stations to access the DDN.

Ethnic Grants


Ethnic Program Grants
Funds are available to assist with production costs for Ethnic programs that are relevant to a defined local Ethnic community and are broadcast on a regular basis, such as weekly or every second week.

Ethnic Development Grants - New Program Group
Funds are available to assist the ongoing development of ethnic community broadcasting in Australia through grants to assist with program start-up costs for new language / cultural groups becoming involved in ethnic community broadcasting at a particular station for the first time.

Ethnic Broadcasting Special Projects Grants
Funds are available to encourage and support projects for the benefit of ethnic community broadcasting in Australia that are innovative with wide sector impact, build capacity for local benefit particularly for encouraging youth participation at the station, or produce networked programs relevant to a broad ethnic audience.

General Grants


General Grants - Station
Funds are available to assist with establishment costs for new long-term licensed stations and sustaining funds for operation and development of community radio stations.

General Grants - Content Development
Funds are available to assist the ongoing development of Australian community broadcasting through grants to support the development, production, distribution and exchange of new radio content at local and/or national levels relevant to communities of interest.

General Grants - Sustainability and Development
Funds are available to assist with the sustainability and development of Australian community broadcasting beyond the individual station / organisation level through grants to support innovative capacity building projects outside the scope of other General Grant categories.

Indigeneous Grants


Indigenous Program Grants
Funds are available to assist with program production costs for regular (weekly) Indigenous programs that are broadcast on a community radio station.

Remote Indigenous Program Grants
Funds are available to assist with program production costs for regular remote Indigenous programs.

Indigenous Equipment Grants
Funds are available to assist with establishing or upgrading Indigenous community radio production and/or broadcasting facilities.

Indigenous Special Projects Grants
Funds are available to support special one-off Indigenous radio programs (rather than regular programs) or radio program resource projects for regional or national use.

Online Development Grants


CBOnline Grants - Online Development
To assist the development of innovative online technologies and resources for use across the Australian community broadcasting sector.

RPH Grants


RPH Content Grants
Funds are available to assist the RPH Sector in the ongoing development of RPH community broadcasting through grants to support the production of new RPH content for the benefit of Australians with a print disability.

RPH Service Support Grants
Funds are available to support dedicated Radio for the Print Handicapped (RPH) community broadcasting services for the benefit of people with a print disability.

RPH Program Grants
Funds are available to provide support to licensed community radio stations producing weekly Radio for the Print Handicapped (RPH) programs for the benefit of people with a print disability.

Satellite Grants


CBOnline Grants - Satellite Equipment
Funds are available for community radio stations to purchase satellite equipment to access the community broadcasting satellite program distribution channels: the Community Radio Network, National Indigenous Radio Service (NIRS) and RPH Australia service.

Training Grants


Training Grants - Training Delivery
Funds are available to assist the ongoing development of community broadcasting throughout Australia, through grants for training delivery for broadcasters, staff and volunteers at community radio and television stations in broadcasting & media skills, management & leadership skills, technician and trainer training.


Transmission Grants


Transmission Support Grants - Equipment
Funds are available to assist the ongoing development of Australian community radio stations through grants to purchase and install essential transmission equipment or conduct activities that will improve their transmission facilities.

Transmission Support Grants - Operational Subsidy
Funds are available to subsidise community radio stations for transmission operational costs.

Transmission Support Grants - Special Projects
Funds are available to provide support for projects and local partnerships that aim to increase the sustainability and self-sufficiency of community radio transmission infrastructure, and the development and trial of innovative solutions to community radio transmission issues, including the use of new technologies.

TV Grants


TV Content Production grants
Funds are available to encourage participation in Australian community broadcasting through grants to support the production of television content for and by local communities.

Grant Reporting


Grant Reporting Requirements
The grant reporting process is about responsibly accounting for the public funding your organisation has received as a CBF grant. All organisations who receive any CBF funding have to complete this process.
