'Marketing Community Radio' covers a broad range of topics relevant to the needs of community radio. It originally began as a fundraising manual, but it became apparent that more information was needed about marketing techniques appropriate for community radio stations. The traditional supporters of non-profit organisations - government and philanthropic trusts - have had increasing demands placed upon them in recent years and cannot be expected to significantly increase their involvement. Consequently, a promising path for community broadcasters involves marketing their stations, programs and airtime.
The IRRR Project improved the technical quality and level of service provided by Remote Indigenous Broadcasting Services (RIBS) by replacing obsolete radio equipment.
