From a caravan to bricks and mortar

Until recently 98.5 The Light - Albury Wodonga Christian Broadcasters had been broadcasting from an old caravan in a paddock.

With the help of a CBF grant they were able to move to a new studio in the Wodonga CBD.

“Thanks for the invaluable support. Without the grant, we would have struggled to provide the quality of studio and broadcasting service that we now enjoy.”

– Bruce Hogan, Chairperson

Operating from a warmer, more inviting environment, the station has been able to gain more exposure by being in town as well as improving the quality of their broadcast sound.

We helped - Albury Wodonga Christian Broadcasters, to upgrade the station studios from an old caravan in a paddock to a new studio in a leased building.

The CBF funding contributed towards a new console desk and engine, a logging computer, UPS kit, IP-audio driver, some acoustic panelling and new furniture.  Since moving to the new location, AWCB are pleased to report that there have been no faults with the new equipment. The move has also resulted in 13 new members.

The new studio and equipment has made such a huge difference to the quality of broadcast and community perception of the station.”
